How to get there

Monreale is located approximately one hours drive from Melbourne (easterly direction) and can be accessed by a number of road links

South Eastern Freeway

• South Eastern Freeway – turn off to Ferntree Gully Road, then Mt Dandenong Tourist Road to Sassafras.
• Eastern Freeway – then turn off at Springvale Road, then at Canterbury Road, and then Mt Dandenong Tourist Road going past Olinda to Sassafras.

Mt Dandenong Tourist Road

• From Mt Dandenong Tourist Road travel down the Crescent until you see our sign on the left hand side.
• You will see that we have two driveways.
• Right hand driveway
• Driveway to the Magnolia and Lyrebird Retreat car park.
• The Country House driveway which continues up the hill.
• Driveway for deliveries etc to the Country House
• Left hand Driveway
• Car park for Watergarden Cottage
• Car park for Oakbrook Cottage
• Car park for Steeple Cottage
• Car Park for Tranquility Cottage

Arrival at Monreale

Once you have parked your car you will discover your pathway to Reception.

• From the Cottage Car Park
• Follow the timber walkway until you reach Reception.

From the Retreat Car Park

• Magnolia and Lyrebird Retreats
• Follow the directions on the garden path, going past the front of the Country House until you see reception.

Please also note that we are located at the centre point of the roadway with two names, that is “The Crescent” beginning at the intersection of the Mt Dandenong Tourisr Road, and Sassafras Creek Road which begins at the Perrins Creek Road intersection.
